Romans 10:9 -10 9

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

An appropriate and helpful way to respond when you have been moved by a message, a study in a group, scripture, or an interaction with Jesus is through prayer. Prayer is a helpful component when you want to grow in your relationship and take the next step. The following prayer is only a suggested guide or example – there are no magic words or patterns, as long as you approach God with a sincere desire to know Him, He will continue to reveal himself.

Go somewhere privately with God and pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I need You. I know that I miss the mark and that I am a sinner, and I ask you for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus is Lord and that He died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Help transform me into the kind of person You want me to be and help me to fulfill the purpose and destiny of my life. Amen.
